      Audrey D. Buller (Mrs. Parsons) (1902-1984), Canadian/American PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN IN RED; Oil on canvas; signed verso24" x 20" - 61 x 50.8 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Montreal Note: Audrey Buller was born in Montreal and is the sister of Canadian artist, Cecil Tremayne Buller (1888-1973) and friend of Canadian artist Randolph Stanley Hewton (1888-1960). A large canvas portrait of "Miss Audrey Buller", painted by Hewton in 1922-1923 is in the collection of The National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa. Miss Buller is recorded to have resided in Montreal at 729 Sherbrooke St. West where she exhibited two portraits at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 1922 and 1923. She married the Montreal born artist and designer, Lloyd Holman Parsons (1893-1968) and they both died in Little Compton, Rhode Island.
