      JOSÉ BUENO GIMENO (Zaragoza, 1884- 1957). "Woman with deer". Painted terracotta. Presents faults. Signed. Measurements: 34,5 x 22,5 x 16 cm. José Bueno Gimeno began his artistic training as a child. Later he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts and at the age of 19 he was awarded by the City Council of Zaragoza, his hometown. In 1905 he moved to Madrid to study at the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando and in turn, in the workshop of Aniceto Marinas. Only a year later, he received the third prize at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts and an honorable mention. In 1913 he travels to Rome thanks to a scholarship and stays in the city for four years. When he returned to Spain he returned to Zaragoza, becoming a benchmark of the sculpture of the time and establishing his career and in 1924 he received the first medal at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. In 1940 he began his career as a teacher.
