      Property from an Important European Collection BUCHHOLZ FEDOR FEDOROVICH (1857 - 1942) MODEL 1901. Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower right: F. Buchholz 1901 Watercolour on artistic paper, laid down on cardboard . 34x26 cm CONDITION REPORT: The artwork is in perfect condition. EXHIBITION: XV exhibition of the Saint Petersburg Society of Artists, 1907. LITERATURE: Illustrated catalogue of the 15th St. Petersburg Society of Artists exhibition in St. Petersburg, 1907. Published in the exhibition catalogue under number 221, page 19. PROVENANCE: Collection of Evgenii Ilich Radchenko. Evgenii Radchenko was born on 29 February 1896 in Yuzovko, modern-day Donetsk. He lived in Belgrade from 6 July 1928 until 28 December 1936 and was the first sergeant and musician of the Royal Guard. Evgenii Ilich Radchenko was a good friend of the artist Albert Benois, his daughter Maria Tcherepnina and her husband the composer Nikolai Tcherepnin. Acquired in Stockholm in early 2000s from the relatives of Evgenii Radchenko. From 1878 to 1886 studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint-Petersburg. Lived and worked in Saint-Petersburg. Professor. From 1888 the participant of exhibitions. Member and exponent of the associations: Society of Russian Watercolourists, St. Petersburg Society of Artists, the Association of Artists, the A. I. Kuindzhi Society of Artists, Academy of Arts, the Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions, the Society of South Russian Artists and other. Participated in international exhibitions in Munich (1901), USA (1904), Rome (1911). Paintings by Fedor Buchholz are exhibited at: the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg; the Scientific-research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, St. Petersburg; the State Literature Museum, Moscow; the Nizhegorodsk State Art museum; the Novokuznetsk Art Museum; the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts; the Tyumen Regional Museum of Fine Arts; the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum; the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk and other.
