This etching by the German painter Karlheinz Brust deals in a very touching way with the subject of aging. At the lower area of the image, a young man reaches in an affectionate way towards the face of his beloved. Above an angular placed tree trunk is the same couple visible, over decades older. Also here, the man reaches with one hand towards his now aged love. In 2007 was a Karlheinz Brust Foundation founded in Kirn, the birth town of the artist. The etching is in very good condition. It is signed lower right in pencil “Kh Brust” and provided with the numbering “07/25”. The overall dimensions of the etching are 47.5 x 32.5 cm, the dimensions of the image 18 x 10 cm. This impression is enforced by a tall, black, sinister looking figure with a baton, which towers over the poor men.
