Probably Walter Friedrich Brütsch, Relief Disk, Limewood, 1970s

      Est: €1 - €200

Limewood Germany, 1970s Walter Friedrich Brütsch (born 1931) – Swiss sculptor Wood relief disk with abstract pattern Diameter: 29.5 cm Good condition Estimate by Auctionata Expert: 200 EUR This wooden relief was created by the sculptor Walter Friedrich Brütsch (born 1931), who is originally from Switzerland. He crafted the piece in lime wood, a favourite wood type of the artist. The artist has shaped this round, flat disk on the surface in very fine lines with a pattern of swinging, circle-like shapes. In doing so, he includes the natural grain and unevenness of the wood in a playful manner into the shaping. A beautiful whole that appears as a complete art object, without anything visible from the process of creation. The condition of the wood relief is good with normal age-related signs of wear and use. The wood relief is 29.5 cm in diameter. Walter Friedrich Brütsch (born 1931) Walter Friedrich Brütsch originally comes from Switzerland. He studied at the Art Academy in Munich at Heinrich Kirchner, in Vienna at Fritz Wotruba and in Berlin at Paul Dierkes. Brütsch formerly works sculpturally in stone and wood. A number of single and group exhibitions honour his artistic work nationally and internationally. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. Auctionata charges the resale rights tax pursuant to Section 26 of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) towards the buyer in case of the sale of an original work of art or photography prior to 70 years having lapsed since the death of their creator.
