Walter Brudi (1907-1987), Stuttgart artist and advertising designer, was commissioned by the Esslingen-based company Merkel & Kienlin shortly after his Stuttgart studies to design its entire advertising presence and all printed matter. In 1949, he was appointed as Schneidler's successor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. Walter Brudi is considered the heir to Schneidler's Stuttgart School.
