    Munster (Wilhemina FitzClarence, Countess of) Ghostly Tales, first edition, plates, light browning to endpapers, inner gutter weak with some shaking, hinges starting, original decorated green and red cloth, spine rubbed and creased, extremities a little rubbed and bumped, [not in Tymn], 8vo, 1896. ⁂ A rare collection of ghost stories, deliberately written to resemble accounts of 'true hauntings'. Indeed the author was so successful that at least one reviewer assumed that these were all true accounts. The collection was largely forgotten until the 1970s when some of the stories began to appear in anthologies.

Checkered walnut grip panels with Browning medallions. A very limited production of 3500 of these pistols were offered in 1978 to the Browning Collectors Association. Comes with French fitted case with read lining and plaque on top reading "1878 - BROWNING / CENTENNIAL - 1978". CONDITION: Excellent. Light handling wear otherwise as new. Action crisp. Strong bore. The lightly engraved receiver has a one-piece scope mount, scope rings and a Leupold 3.5-10x scope with flip up Butler Creek lens covers. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with sling studs, sling swivels, a camo adjustable sling and a plastic buttplate. With factory letter confirming configuration and that it was sold on August 29th, 1973. BBL: 22 inch round Stock: walnut Gauge: 308 Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 52950M70 Condition: Excellent, 99% original blue finish with a few light scratches and some light freckling on the barrel. The wood is also excellent with some dings and light scratches. The scope is excellent as well with clear optics. - B) Manufactured in Belgium in 1970 with a ramp front sight and a flip up rear sight. The hood for the front sight is absent. The lightly scroll engraved receiver has a 1-piece Redfield scope mount, scope rings and a Leupold Vari-X-III 3.5-10x40mm scope with screw on aluminum objective lens cover, flip up Butler Creek rear lens cover and a scope cover. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with sling studs, sling swivels and a plastic buttplate. Choked modified/full with 3 inch chambers, ejectors and single selectable trigger. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a custom made raised comb and White Line recoil pad with spacers. Length of pull is 15 inches. BBL: 30 inch solid rib Stock: walnut Gauge: 12 Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 43665 Condition: Professionally refinished, 97% blue finish with some scattered light marks and high edge wear. The refinished wood is very good with the comb having been raised with a walnut spacer and a recoil pad added. - B) Limited edition of 100 manufactured with this being number 24 of 100. Single steel bead sight, threaded for Invector choke tubes with modified/full installed and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The left side of the receiver has floral scroll engraving with an oval in the center with two gold accented quail heads. The right side has floral scroll with the Quail Unlimited logo with a gold accented quail in flight and two banners marked "Upland Game Series" and "24 of 100". Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut Schnabel forearm and straight grip stock with plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. With an SKB plastic hardcase, an extra improved cylinder choke, choke wrench and gun lock. BBL: 24 inch vent rib Stock: walnut Gauge: 410 Finish: blue Grips: Serial Number: 20024QU131 Condition: Near new with only a few light handling/storage marks. Half-title. 100 hand-coloured lithographic plates by and after Walter Hood Fitch. (Occasional very faint soiling and browning, textblock splitting at preface and index with worming at gutter, tiny wormhole to last 10 plates expanding to margins of index.) Contemporary maroon morocco, covers with gilt frames, gilt spine (extremities rubbed and covers scuffed, joints more heavily). FIRST EDITION of Bateman's continuation of Sir William Jackson Hooker's A Century of Orchidaceous Plants, published by Reeve in 1846. 'Und ein Mann starb im ewigen Wald unten, tief, wo Sturm in Nacht verbrauste. Starb wie ein Tier im Wurzelwerk verkrallt, Starrte hoch zu den Wipfeln wo über den Wald Sturm seit Tagen über Alles sauste'. A slightly longer version of this poem appeared in Brecht's early play Baal (1918/19).
