SHOTGUN. Cal. 10 Ga., 2 7/8". S# 16813. Bbls. 32" of damascus steel w/ doll's head extension, dbl. lumps & extractors. Cyl. bores. Tapered concave rib is marked w/ maker's name & London address. Case colored action w/ rebounding hammers & dbl. triggers. Engraving features pheasants & guineas on locks surrounded by English arabesque scrolls. Splinter forearm & steel capped pistol gripped walnut stock w/ hand checkering. Stock has German silver shield in toeline. LOP: 14 1/2" over horn buttplate. Weight: 11 lbs., 4.2 oz. CONDITION: bbls. retain over 90% brown finish showing vivid damascus pattern. Action has bright colors remaining in protected areas blending w/ silver patina. Wood has good finish showing a few dents & marks. Bores are generally bright showing scattered spots of pitting. (17-2764/DS). CURIO. $900-1500.
