      Helen K. Bromm (American, 1888-1990). An early 20th Century American Edwardian watercolor painting in grayscale and sepia, a genre representation of a man wearing Northern European style costume, including wooden clog shoes, depicted in a space with decorative ceramics. Artist signature to lower right. The artist, who lived to her 101st year, studied at Cooper Union and, beginning in the Edwardian Age, produced illustrations for advertisements, textile products, postcards, magazines, and books. Presented in a decorative wooden frame and a mottled cream matte. Good condition, with age related wear to frame. Measures 20 in. x 14 1/4 in. (sight), 28 3/4 in. x 22 1/2 in. (framed).
