Lutz Brockhaus, Bronze Sculpture, ‘Jalouisetür’, Germany, 1970

      Est: €160 - €200

Germany, 1970 Lutz Brockhaus (b. 1945) – German sculptor Cast by: Merck KGaA, Darmstadt On the reverse monogramed ‘LB’ and numbered ‘37/40’ Certificate by the artist included Height: 18.5 x 5 x 5.8 cm Very good condition The human being represents the main motif of German sculptor Lutz Brockhaus. He combines them with scenic segments, yet also with industrially produced elements. ‘Jalousietür’ [Jalousie door] from 1970 shows two abstracted figures that merge with an angular-stereometric shape. Thus a dynamic interplay arises between processed and unworked areas, between smooth and uneven spots as well as between human and mechanical parts. The original certificate by the artist is included. The plinth shows the artist’s monogram ‘LB’ and the number ‘37/40’. The work is in a very good condition. In places a nice age patina is visible. The dimensions of the sculpture measure 18.5 x 5 x 5.8 cm. (nlu) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. Auctionata charges the resale rights tax pursuant to Section 26 of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) towards the buyer in case of the sale of an original work of art or photography prior to 70 years having lapsed since the death of their creator. Therefore, Auctionata charges when purchasing a good – if a protection as an original work of art or photography is given – starting from a hammer price of EUR 400 an additional amount, which is calculated according to Section 26 (2) German Copyright Act (UrhG) and which does not exceed the amount of EUR 12,500.
