    measurements height 41 1/2 in.; width 25 1/2 in. alternate measurements (105.4 cm; 64.8 cm) the arched padded backrest carved with foliate scrolls and anthemia, the padded armrests with spherical handholds above a padded seat, raised on round tapered, leaf-carved legs. Pierre-Gaston Brion b. 1767 NOTE Pierre-Gaston Brion was commissioned by Napoleon, Charles X and Louis-Philippe to supply numerous pieces to Fontainebleau, Versailles, Pau and the Tuileries. This fauteuil is similar to a suite of furniture ordered by Napoleon in 1812 which was not used and was stored in the Garde-Meuble until 1838.
