      Berlin-Dessau. Buntstiftzeichnung auf Karton. Mit Bleistift signiert unten links, mittig bezeichnet "Berlin = Dessau", darunter sowie verso mehrfach gestempelt "Josef Brauner Berlin - Boston". Um 1920. Blattgröße: 44 x 60 cm. Bildgröße: 34,5 x 42,5 cm. Bei der typographisch-konstruktivistischen Zeichnung des 1890 in Berlin geborenen, später nach Boston emigrierten Künstlers handelt es sich wohl um einen Entwurf für ein Plakat. - Minimal angestaubt, mit Atelierspuren und Kleberesten entlang der oberen Kante.

This one depicts two differently shaped circles, surrounded by coloured lines. The design of the circles evokes mathematical drafts, an impression which is reinforced by the formula on the left edge. The collage is in good condition with slight creases and blurring of the paint. It is signed ‘Josef Brauner’ in the lower and labelled ‘22’ in the upper left corner, stamped ‘Josef Brauner’ in the middle towards the middle, labelled ‘Berlin’ in the lower and titled ‘Aufsteigend/B’ (‘Rising/B’) in the upper right corner. On the back, it is labelled ‘JOSEF BRAUNER „AUFSTEIGEND / B“ BERLIN 922’ and stamped ‘Josef Brauner, Berlin – Boston’. The collage’s dimensions are 25 x 18,5 cm. This one is clearly labelled with the letter ‘M’ stuck on it. Blue, red, and yellow lines pass through the collage like rays of light. Circles and triangles drawn in delicate ink lines complete the harmonious composition. The collage is in good condition, with slight creases on the edges and a small tear on the right edge. It is signed ‘Josef Brauner’ in the lower left corner, ‘Berlin’ in the lower right, the title ‘M’ is found in the middle, and the date ‘1922’ in the upper right corner. On the back, it is labelled ‘Josef Brauner, „M“, Berlin 922’ and stamped ‘Josef Brauner, Berlin – Boston’, as well as ’299/III’. The dimensions are 12 x 24,5 cm.
