      James Bradley Spencer, Azariah C Flagg

      (1781- 1848) Captain James Spencer Bradley during the War of 1812 served in the 29th Infantry based in Sackett's Harbor, and fought oin the Battle of Plattsburgh in 1814. He also served in the US Congress. cut signature (sight 3/8" x 2 7/8"), sold with (1790- 1873) Lt Azariah C Flagg, printer of the Plattsburgh Republican newspaper. on Sept 5, 1814, he enlisted as a Lieuteneant in General Benjamin Mooers Clinton County Militia. He served as a scout with Capt martin Aiken and his underage volunteers from the Plattsburgh academy. They engaged with the British in the first encounter, and again at the Saranac River Bridge. 1853 A.D.S bank draft (sight 3" x 6 1/2"), both presented in modern frames with facsimile engravings and biographies, overall sizes 22" x 10"
