    Adriano Bozzolo, Kauernder Frauenakt, Bronzeplastik Adriano Bozzolo, 1927 Ponte Tresa / Tessin - Mailand - 2011, Schweizer Bildhauer, hier: Ein Frauenakt, das Kleid schamhaft zwischen Brust und Knie geklemmt, kauert im Fersensitz auf einem kissenartigen Gebilde, Bronze mit goldbrauner Patina, H 18 x 18 x 6 cm, montiert auf einem polierten, hellen Steinsockel. Zum Künstler: Als Nachkomme einer Familie, in der der Beruf des Malers und Bildhauers Tradition hatte, kam Adriano Bozzolo schon seit frühester Jugend mit Ton, Gips, Marmor und Farbe in enge Berührung. Bis 1954 studierte er am Liceo Artistico di Brera in Mailand, im gleichen Jahr tritt er mit einer Skulpturengruppe aus Bronze von über zwei Metern erstmals an die Öffentlichkeit. Hierauf folgt eine umfangreiche Produktion monumentaler Heiligenstatuen, deren erste, der Heilige Hieronymus aus Marmor, auf einem der Spitztürmchen des Mailänder Doms ihren Platz gefunden hat. 1975 widmete ihm die Stadt Mailand eine Einzel- Ausstellung in der „Rotonda della Besana“. Sein Werk „Für die Brüderlichkeit der Völker“ befindet sich an der italienisch-schweizerischen Grenze von Ponte Tresa, das monumentale Werk „Musical Explosion“ im Kongresspalast in Lugano. Hierauf folgt eine umfangreiche Produktion monumentaler Heiligenstatuen, deren erste, der Heilige Hieronymus aus candoglianischem Marmor, auf einem der Spitztürmchen des Mailänder Doms ihren Platz gefunden hat. About the artist: As a descendant of a family with a tradition of painting and sculpting, Adriano Bozzolo came into close contact with clay, plaster, marble and paint from an early age. He studied at the Liceo Artistico di Brera in Milan until 1954, the same year he made his first public appearance with a bronze sculpture group measuring over two metres. This was followed by an extensive production of monumental statues of saints, the first of which, St Jerome in marble, found its place on one of the spires of Milan Cathedral. In 1975, the city of Milan dedicated a solo exhibition to him in the "Rotonda della Besana". His work "For the Fraternity of Peoples" is located on the Italian-Swiss border at Ponte Tresa, the monumental work "Musical Explosion" in the Congress Palace in Lugano. This was followed by an extensive production of monumental statues of saints, the first of which, St Jerome in Candoglian marble, was placed on one of the spires of Milan Cathedral.
