    (Guy Bourdin) (1928-1991) French artist fashion photographer. Bourdin was noted for his surreal, menacing and provocative imagery. His lingerie catalogue, Sighs and Whispers, produced for Bloomingdale's, New York, 1976. First edition. 34 pages. Extremely scarce and important work by Guy Bourdin. The only “book”as it were, of his work published during his lifetime. Bourdin was extremely publicity shy, and was not interested in praise or the publishing of his work. Slight rubbing at the edges, overall condition very good.
