Halida Boughriet - Born in 1980 in Lens (France). Lives and works in Choisy le Roi (France).

Halida Boughriet, a French and Algerian artist, is used to explore a broad media range making performance a central issue to her artistic expression. At the crossroad of aesthetic, political and social concerns, her productions strive to capture and translate tensions made obvious in human relationships and society, in some given historical and social context, including the emotions conveyed in individual and collective memory. The omnipresence of human bodies is an essential aspect of her poetical/experimental work.

Her works has been exhibited in several international Museums such as the Museum of Modern Art of Algiers; the Hood Museum in USA; the Düsseldorf Kunst in Tunnel in Germany; the Centre Pompidou, the MAC/VAL Museum (Musée d’Art contemporain du Val de Marne) and the Institut du Monde Arabe in France; and The Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Germany. In 2014 she has been selected for the Dak’art Biennial and in 2015 she’s been represented at the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin/Madrid.
