Matted and framed to 9½x10¼". Excellent condition. Pencil drawing by Vaughn Bodé of his "Belinda Bump" character. This was the eighth in a series of 25 pin-up style drawings of Belinda created for use as spot illustrations in various issues of the men's magazine Cavalier in the early 1970s. "Though Belinda Bump and Dr. Electric were 'killed' in their polluted ship Sunspot, I revived the buxom broad as the mascot for CAVALIER, and I lease her services on a yearly basis to the magazine." – Vaughn Bodé.           Vaughn Bodé Cavalier Magazine August 1975 Bodé Erotica Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (Cavalier, 1975). Da Lizard is intending on having a snake dinner... instead, the snake has dinner in "Snake Bake". Bodé's wonderful and whimsically charming art is well matched by his lush and vivid watercolor work. Ink, marker, and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.5" x 13.5". It is marked "Bodé Erotica 31 Plate One - March 1975" on the backside. Signed in the bottom right panel and marked "To Robert Weiner" just below that. In Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.

          Vaughn Bodé Cavalier Magazine September 1971 Deadbone Erotica Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (Cavalier, 1971). "Love is Thee" features lush, gorgeous colors, one of Bodé's wonderful lizard characters, and a quite funny completely unexpected twist ending. It originally ran in the September 1971 issue of the men's magazine Cavalier, but was also collected by Fantagraphics in the 1996 book Vaughn Bodé's Erotica #2. This very large piece was created in ink, marker, and watercolor, with an image area of 14" x 19". It is signed and dated in the title area at the top, but also signed in the bottom right corner of panel #1. The beautiful page is matted and glass front framed to 23" x 27.5". In Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.

          2. Vaughn Bode signed original art for Deadbone Erotica #36. (1972) Accomplished in mixed media on 19 x 23.5 in. artist board. Bode was a genius and an innovator who died in 1975 at only 33 years old. His body of work remains studied, imitated, and collected 40 years after his untimely death. This piece is both playful and bawdy, with Bode’s innovative text above the art. Bode has handwritten, in ink, on the verso, “Vaughn Bode, Deadbone Erotica 36, page three, January 1972”. This spectacular and large work is finely colored. Exhibiting tape registration marks to edges of blank border and blue line registration markings not affecting art. In fine condition. $5,000 - $8,000
