PEGGIE BLIZARD (b. 1942, Rockingham) is an American artist best known for her meditative realist paintings of interiors and still lifes. Drawing on the techniques of Dutch Realism, Blizard captures the emotional signi�cance of everyday objects and spaces. Blizard was born in Rockingham, North Carolina in 1942. After receiving her BFA from East Carolina University, she moved to New York where she continued her education at the Art Students League and Pratt Graphic Arts Center (now the Pratt Institute), and later received her Master's degree from City College.
