Inscribed "Garve VII Th." at upper right. Date: 18th century Description: After an original by Friedrich Matthäi (1777 Meissen - 1845 Vienna). This antique miniature shows a teacher testing and evaluating the skills of some young boys. In front of him is a pile of musical instruments and implements of war, from which the boys choose their favourite "attributes".
