Luigi Billi Sold at Auction Prices

Luigi Billi - At the end of his studies at the Barabino Artistic Lyceum of Genoa, Luigi Billi (1958-2016) graduated in Florence, his city of origin, in experimental psychology at the Faculty of the Magisterium. After many years in Rome, he lived in Milan, exhibiting his first solo exhibition in 1990.
Of his exhibition curriculum we remember the participation in the LIV Biennale of Venice "Padiglione Italia" (Turin, Sala Nervi, 2011); VIII Biennial of Contemporary Art of Egypt "Spirit in soul, spirit in body, spirit in the machine" (Cairo, Egyptian Museum, 2000); VIII International Biennial of Photography "The imperfect West" (Turin, Palazzo Bicherasio, 1999); XII Rome National Quadrennial "Latest Generations" (Rome, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, 1996); At the Milan Triennale he won the Nestlé Prize in 2001.


Of his work have written critics of art and writers, including: Erri De Luca, Eve Ensler, Valerio Magrelli, Antoni Monda, Michel Baudson, Martina Corgnati, Gianluca Marziani, Marco Vallora.
