after. ] Costumi Civili e Militari della Monarchia Francese dal 1200 sino al 1820, 3 vol., 380 hand-coloured lithographed plates including pictorial title, lithographed by Cuciniello & Bianchi or Lorenzo Bianchi, plate 197 misbound between 244 & 245, no lithographed titles as in French edition, no text as issued, title and first plates in each vol. a little soiled, otherwise generally clean, contemporary cloth-backed marbled boards, uncut, rubbed,, boards a little worn at edges, [cf.Colas 1807, French edition], 4to, n.p., [c.1825]. The more common French edition with plates by Hipployte Lecomte was published by Delpech in 1820 (see previous lot). The plates in this Italian edition appear to have been copied from Lecomte's as they are very slightly smaller and without his signature. The colouring is virtually identical but the plates themselves appear a little more refined.
