      HENRY BEBIE (American, 1799-1888) THE FIRE RESCUE.

      Unsigned, large oil on canvas scene shows a building on fire and a recently rescued "damsel" dressed in her white nightgown and blue robe. Two men carry her outside the building and there are a number of onlookers including women and men. Housed in a fancy gilt frame. SIZE: 36" x 29". CONDITION: Relined on new stretcher.  Very good with some inpainting. 9-20172
