        *Stojan Batic (Slovenian, 1925-2015) ‘MOSES AND THE BURNING BUSH’ Bronze, signed 95cm wide 131cm high Provenance: W Pollak, Brussels; thence by descent. Stojan Bati? (1925-2015) was educated in Trbovlje at a mining school and went on to work as a technical draughtsman in the Trbovjle mine. In 1943, he became a war correspondent, but after the war he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. He became President of the Slovenian Artists' Association in 1960 and undertook many monumental commissions for public works in Slovenia and the former Yugoslavia. *Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.
