      A group of six framed silhouettes William Bache (1771-1845) and others, late 18th / early 19th century Including a pair, a lady and gentleman signed "Bache," in silvered frames; a second printed pair, a lady and gentleman, each inscribed, "VNT & S.M. 1795, 27 Pine St. N.Y." (drawn by Thomas Bluget De Valdenuit and printed by Charles B.J.F. Saint Memin); and the third pair, a lady and gentleman with inked highlights, framed together, a typed note on verso reads, "Born July 15,1786/ Ruth James/ Joshua Oaker/ Born June 23, 1780." Bache" (likely William M Meredith 1799 - 1873, as he was affiliated with Oliver Hopkinson 1812 - 1905) --- 2 1/8 x 3 inch, good condition, buckling paper. Also included are a pair of 19th Century Chinese miniature paintings depicting a noble man and woman, watercolor on paper, unsigned, brass and metal oval frames, 6 1/8 x 5 inch, both in good condition. Marked "Ed H" on the reverse (Edward Hopkinson 1850 - 1935). From the Francis Hopkinson Family Archives
