Titel in Rot und Schwarz. 34,5 x 24,5 cm. Halbpergament d. Z. (etwas berieben und mit 2 kleinen Fehlstellen) Deckel mit später aufgezogenen Textfragmenten d. Z. (leicht berieben und mit kleiner Fehlstelle). Venedig, Felix Valgrisi, 1588. -- Vgl. STC 66. Garrison-Morton 1586.2. Adams B 6. Durling 427. Hirsch-Hübotter I, 270. – Zweite Ausgabe, erschien erstmals 1571. Der Mediziner Andrea Bacci (1524-1600) beschreibt in seinem Werk Behandlungsmethoden mittels Mineralwasser und Bäder und ihrer Anwendung vom Altertum bis zur Renaissance. Darüberhinaus geht Bacci auf die Wirkung von Wein als Medizin ein. – Innengelenke offen, Titel etwas braun- und fingerfleckig, insgesamt leicht stock- und fingerfleckig, sonst gutes Exemplar.

Piccolo lavoro di tarlo alle prime tre carte di testo, copia gorata. Legatura seicentesca in piena pergamena con titolo manoscritto al dorso. (1)

    Florence, Giorgio Marescotti, 1582. In the 8th. Typographic mark on the title page and illustrated initials in woodcut, some glosses of ancient hand on the margins, first issue detached, second partially detached, blooms, light browning, small ink stain on the outer margin of F3 and F4, some slight water gore at the margin lower white, coeval parchment binding, paper gusset back, slight defects, handwritten notations on the back plate. Signature of belonging to the title page and to the guard card.

    In-folio (mm 322x220). Pagine [28] 370 [2]. Bel frontespizio allegorico in calcografia con ritratto dell'Autore e stemma della famiglia Colonna e 1 grande incisione nel testo. Capilettera in legno. Buon esemplare ben conservato fatta eccezione per una leggera gora al margine superiore delle prime carte. Legatura settecentesca in mezza pelle con punte e piatti in carta decorata. Titolo in oro su tassello al dorso. Mancanze lungo le unghiature e a parte della cuffia superiore nell'insieme lisa. Alla carta di guardia anteriore lunga nota manoscritta di mano antica.

Pianta delle terme di Diocleziano a doppia pagina, illustrazione xilografica sulla p. 443, marca tipografica al frontespizio ed in fine (difetti ed antichi restauri alle prime ed ultime carte, esemplare composto?) Legatura del secolo XX in mezza pergamena con angoli e titolo in oro al dorso. Seconda edizione considerata più rara rispetto alla prima ed aumentata di un capitolo sui vulcani. Inoltre vengono descritti tutti i centri termali del mondo di allora. Adams B-6; Durling 427; Bibl. Bacchica II, 66: "fait eloge d'un certain nombre de vins". 200,00€
