Differential taxation is not possible. The present photograph was taken by the German actor Balduin Baas and probably dates ​​around 1975. It depicts an attractive female nude with cigarette against a dark background. Her face and hair are hidden by a wig and a doll-like mask, so that her identity remains uncertain. The work is verso signed and numbered with pencil 'Balduin Baas. 372' and also reveals the stamp of the artist 'BALDUIN BAAS, 2000 HAMBURG [...]'. The surface is slightly rubbed and shows tiny punctual damages which are, however, only visible under inspection from the side. The lower left edge of the paper is creased. The image size is equal to the sheet size of 29.2 x 23.5 cm. The work has been matted with photo corners. Balduin Baas (1922-2006) Balduin Baas was born in Danzig and active as an artist, writer and very successful actor. His artistic career started after the end of the Second World War and was initially focused on the writing of plays and newspaper articles. Around 1954, he received his first engagements as an actor. After his first marriage with Ruth Stephan, Baas had an over 30 years lasting relationship with the photographer Charlotte March, who may have influenced and supported his photographic work. The estate of Balduin Baas includes not only photographs, but also art objects and drawings. It is preserved in the Falckenberg Collection in Hamburg.
