    French composer (1782-1871) Autograph letter signed "Auber", 1 page, 4to; [Paris], 29 January 1862. On beautiful, good quality paper. Good condition. Auber thanks the members of the Association des Artistes Musiciens, that complimented him for his appointment to Grand Officier de la Légion d'Honneur, granted by Napoleon III. He considers this honour as a praise to Music, and himself as the agent. [Music]
