    (New York/Georgia, 1901 - 1986) Oil on board portrait of a young man rendered in New Orleans while at the Newcomb College. The portrait of a young African American child in a blue coat has been brilliantly rendered. The work is titled on verso, "Son of a Newcomb Potter" and dated 1923. Framed: H17 1/4" W13" Sold from the collection of a Camden, South Carolina lady and gentleman.
