Andreas Amrhein (b. 1963) Amrhein was born in Marburg in 1963 and from 1985-92 studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts as pupil of Barbara Heinisch and Walter Stöhrer. From 1996 onwards, he was teaching at the Freie Kunstschule Berlin and in 2005 he joined the Academy in Bad Reichenhall. Throughout his career Amrhein has been awarded many prizes, among others in 1990 the Art Prize of the 9th International Graphics Triennale in Frechen. Amrhein's works have been presented in numerous exhibitions, such as in 1999 at the Kunst-Kabinett Regensburg, in 2005 at the Kunstverein Talstraße, Halle (Saale) and in 2010 at the Alexander Ochs Galleries in Berlin.
