    There are (8) dinner or wall plates with various "Sprites" patterns; each measures approx. 11.25" in diameter; each depicts sprites with a different type of fruit, and the "Orange Sprites" plate has roughness at one rim. Each is signed on the back with name and Claremont, California. Jean Goodwin Ames’ (1903-1986) was a painter who preferred working with enamel. She was a teacher at Scripps College and Claremont Graduate School from 1940 to 1962, quoted to focus on “enchanted birds and beasts.”
