        Est: €7,200 - €9,000

Oil on panel Russia, 1929 Mikhail Alisov (1859-1933) - Russian landscape and marine painter and pupil of Julius von Klever Signed (in Cyrillic) and dated ‘1929’ lower right Dimensions: 40 x 64 cm Decorative frame: 59 x 82 cm Provenance: Private collection, Austria Especially Alisov’s marine paintings are characterized by a romantic atmosphere. His works have already been sold for more than €18,000 The Russian painter Mikhail Alisov (1859-1933) created mainly atmospheric coastal views and marine paintings of the Crimea. They are characterized by quiet compositions and muted colors. His painting style, especially the depiction of water, reveal stylistic similarities to the work of his teacher Ivan K. Aivazovsky (1817-1900). Condition: The painting is overall in good condition with major areas of retouching to the sky, the water and the sailboat. The stained wooden frame has slight signs of wear.
