      Dolceacqua - ponte e Castello dei Doria, Italy. 1890s. Vintage large-format, sepia-toned gelatin silver print on chamois paper. 61 x 47 cm. Photographer's stamp in lower left; annotated in pencil on the verso. The son of Leopoldo Alinari, one of the founders of the Alinari Photographic Studio, Vittorio Alinari is known for his careful composition and attractive pictorialist prints, as well as the large-format he worked in until the 1920s. - Diagonal crease in upper right corner, a few handling creases, especially in upper area, pinholes in corners, otherwise a beautiful atmospheric print in very good condition.
