Juana Alicia (born 1953) is a renowned chicano muralist and painter based in California. She has produced murals in public spaces throughout California and Mexico, including Stanford University, the Women’s Building, San Francisco, and the San Francisco Mime Troupe Building. She has also exhibited extensively in the US and Mexico including the 2005 Chicano Biennial at MACLA, Center for Latino Arts, San Jose; Sonoma State University; Museuo de la Estampa, Mexico City; Wight Gallery, UCLA; Mexican Fine Arts Center, Chicago; La Galeria de la Raza, San Francisco. She earned an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1990.
