He has been a long-time member of the Brown County Art Guild Gallery of Nashville, Indiana; the Brownsville Texas Art League; the American Artists Professional League; the Oak Park Art League; and is associated with many other local art groups in the Illinois area. Well respected within these various art groups, Albert Alfredson has been a popular painting demonstrator in the Chicago, Indiana and Texas areas. He has served on juries of selection and awards throughout these areas for many years. His numerous awards in various competitions include a Diamond Medal; a Gold Medal; a Gold Star Award; two Silver Medals; and many ribbons and monetary award. "I work very much with the palette knife and use the brushes for blending and correcting the applications I make with the knife," Alfredson has stated.
