          Miniature on porcelain painted with fired enamel. The work represented is a marine scene from *Ivan Aivazovsky's "Storm, 1886". Signed lower right, in Cyrillic. As a painting, it is mounted in a frame on an easel, all in 925 silver punched. The upper part of the easel ends in a bell and boat. Decoration of pineapples, tornapuntas and roped. *Ivan Aivazovsky (1817-1900) was a Russian Romantic painter considered one of the greatest marine painters. He focused on a realistic line of work. Witness of this is the original work of this miniature "Storm, 1886", exhibited in the Yaroslavl Museum of Art.
