Seine Werke erfreuten sich von Beginn seiner Laufbahn an großer Beliebtheit und befinden sich heute in zahlreichen privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen. Young girl adorning herself.     An album of 'Ackermann's Sporting Scraps' 1850s, containing a collection of 35 Rudolph Ackermann's colour sporting prints after H.Alken, W.J. Shayer & W.A. Knell, each plate titled and measuring 16.5 by 24cm., 6 1/2 by 9 1/4in. bound in an album with red leather & marbled boards, the prints primarily after Alken but with the coaching series after W.J. Shayer and the yachting series after Knell, Alken's sports comprising boar hunting (in India), fox hunting, stag hunting, deer stalking, fishing, coursing, racing, shooting and steeple chasing, mostly, but not entirely, in sets of fours This book has been donated to the Washington DC National Cathedral Grounds for fund raising.
